Furlough Days Effect Courthouse Schedule
Besides the usual ‘Holiday’ closures for King County Courthouse, ten new ‘furlough days’ have been announced. These additional ‘closed’ dates are due to the budget deficit.
So why should you care? If the County Courthouse is closed, no transactions can be recorded. This means that besides the usual ‘holiday’ of this Thursday, 1/1/09, the Courthouse will be also be closed on Friday, 1/2/09. Not great news for those of you who may miss that 12/31/08 closing date for any purchases or sales in place.
